West Ham are hoping to bring Wifried Bony to the club and have already inquired about his availability.
But it would only be on a loan deal until January as the player is moving on from Manchester City to China in the new year.
Report emerged this morning the Hammers were interested in the player and with Andre Ayew injured for four months he is seen as an ideal replacement given his situation with a China move on the horizon.
A club souce told ClaretandHugh: “The reports are correct. We are interested but I can tell you that we now have an inquiry in with Manchester City.
“Bony is off to China in January but it may just appeal to him to come and score some goals for West Ham United before he goes.
“It’s not clear at this stage whether City are ready to loan him – we are waiting for an answer from them.”
Another striker with no pace – we are going to struggle big time with no pace up front in the current system we play. I can see it long balls hoofed up to Carroll, he is taken off and replaced by Bony same thing. I think Bony is a far better player than Carroll but I would just prefer a striker who can score goals in the system we play who has pace which is needed for this role.
Johnham did you read the article we want him on a 3 month loan deal, he is off to China in January, he is cover nothing more. He would be a good signing he is quicker than Carroll also so imo there is very little downside to this move.
I am sure if he came and a deal was done to complete a full time deal to either us or China and we pay the right price he will come full time,
We could probably send a couple to China instead,

Get rid of noble and bring in a pacey D/M/f who can play and be creative , we got wingers coming out of our arry ! And can’t feed carol or calleri when on the park ! Complete waste !!
If we want to go through the middle or the flanks with long balls then we need sakho on the park ,
Personally I think calleri and sakho could cause problems , both pacey !
