Hammers considered “monster offer” for ace

West Ham considered tabling a “monster offer” for Napoli star Piotr Zielinski in the summer, according to a new report in Italy.

The midfielder has been in excellent form at the start of the season, playing a major role in the 4-1 demolition of Liverpool in the Champions League last week.

But he could well have left, as Corriere dello Sport reports that the Hammers were ready with a “monster offer” to sign the player before eventually buying Lucas Paqueta from Lyon.

Zielinski chose not to leave the Italian club and he has been superb in 2022/23 thus far, scoring three goals and laying on four assists in seven games.

Two of those goals came in the win over Liverpool and the Poland international will now be hoping to keep Napoli’s form going; they are top of Serie A and are unbeaten from six games, winning four of them and drawing two so far.

  1. Boring, boring, boring…….
Always linked to players when the transfer window is closed & they have a good start to the season……
It would probably take Moyes at least 2 more transfer windows to make a decision on whether to sign him or not……..
Benitez , Tuchel & soon to be Rodgers out there….
Get rid of Moyes now for a proper manager with proper man management skills !!!!
