Hammers continue to track striker

|

West Ham are continuing to keep a keen eye on Ostersund striker Saman Ghoddos but have now been joined in the chase by Crystal Palace.

Ghoddos, 24,has been monitored by several clubs after impressing against Arsenal in the Europa League earlier in the season during a last 32 tie against the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger spoke highly of his ability after the tie which helped to alert several Premier League clubs

Among the other clubs keeping an eye on the player are Southampton, West Brom and Brighton but all interest is on ice until each of them has secured their Premier League futures this season.

Ghoddos will cost in excess of £5m after Ostersund rejected a January bid of that value from Celta Vigo.

David Moyes has focused his attentions on the defence and midfied should the Hammers ensure their safety but remains keen on Ghoddos once he has dealt with his priority areas.

Waste of time reporting on tracking players. We ‘tracked’ around 30 players in the recent window and ended up with a 36 year old player out of contract, a loan deal and a Championship player who we don’t want to play.
Please – no more reporting on players we’re tracking.
