Hammers could face another year of Masuaku

West Ham could face another year of Arthur Masuaku if – as seems likely – he is sent back from Besiktas at the end of his loan period.

The Hammers left back is currently injured but has failed to impress at the Turkish club in the previous 12 games when he managed just two assists.

The Irons are resisting any push by the club to send him back to the London Stadium in January but know that there’s a possibility he could return in the summer when he has a further year on his current deal.

The Hammers have made it clear they will not consider a January return but unless another club for the injured player – difficult given his history in that area – he will almost certainly be back at the London Stadium next summer,

And with no club ready to but perhaps it would mean he would remain on the Hammers books until June 24.
