Hammers could get huge World Cup boost

West Ham could get a huge boost at the World Cup, with the majority of their forward line likely to miss the tournament.

The tournament is slated to begin in November and will end on December 18th at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.

Of course, Declan Rice will be hoping to play in that game with England but there are a number of players who are not going to be heading to Qatar who are on the Irons’ books.

Reports this morning have suggested that Jarrod Bowen is unlikely to be included in the squad because of a run of poor form this season.

That would put him in line with Mikey Antonio, Gianluca Scamacca, Said Benrahma, and Maxwel Cornet. None of Jamaica, Italy, Algeria or the Ivory Coast qualified for the tournament.

That means they face a period of rest, instead of having to play in the scorching desert heat in Qatar.

With the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Manchester City sending the majority of their players to the tournament, it could end up being a major boost for the Hammers in the second half of the season.
