Hammers could pick up striker for free

West Ham could have the chance to sign a striker target on a free transfer if a new report is to be believed.

The Hammers have been linked with Torino striker Andrea Belotti for some time now.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 27-year-old Italian international is set to leave the Serie A outfit when his contract expires at the end of the season having made the decision not to sign an extension.

Romano posted the information on his official Twitter account   “Italian striker Andrea Belotti is prepared to leave Torino as a free agent in June.

“Torino manager Ivan Juric confirms: “Belotti won’t sign the contract extension”.

“Andrea is not going to leave in January. He’ll decide his future in June”, Juric added.”

He has scored 91 goals in 199 appearances during his six years with the Serie A outfit since joining from Palermo  and has managed one goal in three games so far this term.

There’s bound to be fierce competition for the player this summer but the Hammers fancy their chances of attracting him to the London Stadium as a genuine competition for Mickey Antonio’s position upfront.

  2. Romano ? well must be right.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

  3. Andrea Belotti has been linked with us in one way or another for what seems like a very long time. Having had a look at him, he is an Italian international striker who is technically a very good team player also. If true, he is the type of player that I would welcome at West Ham. For now it is one for the rumour bin I guess.
