Hammers deny interest in PL striker

bonyWest Ham have zero interest in Wilfried Bony despite widespread reports the club will be bidding to bring him to the London Stadium this summer.

The Sun report – which has been picked up by virtually every other media outlet – claims Bony has sparked a summer transfer scrap after getting frozen out at Stoke and Manchester City.

The Hammers have been linked with him since co chairman David Sullivan claimed the club almost bought him ahead of Andy Carroll.

And now ourselves and Everton are again being put in the frame for the Ivory Coast international in the belief he can recapture the form that took him from Swansea to Manchester City.

Bony was the top scorer in 2014 and earned a move to the Etihad but has been frustrated since and arrived at Stoke on loan.

We were told this evening that the Irons have no interest in the player and that “no moves at all will be made in that direction.”

Bony is also believed to have interest from China which looks a more likely move at this point of his career.

  1. His loss of form since he went to City is shocking, when he was at Swansea he looked a real handful, now the only real handful is around his waistline.

  2. Absolutely! He has hardly played this season and would likely end up as good as McCarthy or Mido.I also thought he was contracted to go to China. We need players with hunger and ambition!
