Hammers deny new Maguire interest

|

By Hughie  Southon

West Ham have denied that the club is making further moves to bring in Harry Maguire from Manchester United.

We reported earlier that the Sun had produced a story saying that we could make moves for the England central defender before the transfer window closes.

David Moyes had made the 30 year old a central priority at one stage and it had appeared that all was set for a £30 million switch from Old Trafford.

But amusingly, given events since, the player was reported t have made it clear he didn’t fancy a move to a club that could be involved in a relegation scrap.

Hammers call it a day on Maguire

The Hammers were then believed to have called it a day in trying to attract him to the club but a new report from the tabloid suggested they may have one final try.

However, our key source explained to us this afternoon: “Man Utd have said Maguire staying there and we have enough centre backs now.”

There has been a noticeable change in our approach and effectiveness in the last few weeks, suddenly we are acting quickly, negotiating effectively and closing deals! How to stop silly rumours? Just do swift and decisive business! Well done WH (Tim?). Like Paul, I say please swerve Maguire, and Lingard, stop licking their boots and do our own thing. Finally, like top clubs do, blood our young players properly please!

THIS IS ONE OF OUR BEST WINDOWS EVER, MAGUIRE WILL SPOIL IT ALL, LETS HOPE AND PRAY WE DONT SIGN HIM, PLEASE GOD.
WE MADE GOOD MONEY SELLING RICE, BUYING 4 SQUAD PLAYERS, THINK WHAT STEIDEN CAN DO, REVENUE WISE, IF MOYES STEPPED ASIDE, WE CAN COPY BRIGHTON PERHAPS.
ALSO, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME OF THIS MONEY SPENT ON BETTER TRAINING FACILITIES ETC, THAT IS A FORWARD MOVE FOR US, AND THE FUTURE.
HOW DO WE STAND ON HOME GROWN PLAYERS, NOW ALL THESE INTERNATIONALS ARE COMING IN.
