Hammers deny new striker offer

|

West Ham have received just one bid since the window opened and that is for a player who can’t make up his mind if he wants to leave.

And the Hammers have today denied that striker Albian Ajeti has been the subject of a new inquiry reported to be from Slaven Bilic at promoted West Brom.

The report emerged on an internet site but was immediately denied by a well placed Claretandhugh source who said: “There has been no bid from anybody but Celtic although and as reported the player has gone back to Switzerland to think things over.

He smiled: “We have seen reports saying that Slaven has been in for him but that’s not true although we realise that a club managed by our former manager could give a story s little more credibility.

The market is entirely flat and that the Celtic bid for Ajeti’s is the only one we habve had biut things can change in a minute.”
