Hammers deny Soucek contract scare stories

A bizarre comment that Tomas Soucek will walk away from the negotiating table if he doesn’t get the contract offer he wants from West Ham has started to do the rounds.

Claretandhugh was the first outlet to reveal that talks had started and that he will unquestionably be getting a big improvement on his current deal.

However, there is no question he will be offered close to £100k plus appearances and other clauses which will be a major advance on his personal terms.

And the key CandH source told us this morning that he would be at the club for the next three years regardless of the rumours.

Our insider said: “We are looking at all key players at the end of the season. Tomas has over 3 years to go including our option”

The Daily Mail states that Soucek is in a strong position to negotiate, adding the fictional £125k a week supposedly earned by Kurt Zouma helps him.

It doesn’t because it’s not true and the exclusive interview with GiveMeSport from  journalist Dean Jones revealing he will leave  if he’s not satisfied is also untrue given the usual contract option.

He said: “If he’s not satisfied with the offer, he’d walk away from the table, I’m told.”

That’s best ignored!
