Hammers discuss new manager rumour

ThomasTuchel2014_(cropped)German coach Thomas Tuchel is today being reported as having rejected advances from West Ham to become a potential runner in a race to replace Slaven Bilic.

The Hammers, however,  immediately rubbished the idea when ClaretandHugh approached its top source this afternoon (Tues).

Mirror Sport revealed last month that the Hammers were already considering alternatives to boss Bilic following defeats in their opening two games and today ran a story claiming the club had been turned down the former  Borussia Dortmund boss.

But we were told categorically that is simply not the case and that Bilic is under no immediate threat – a story we had “confirmed” last night (Mon) when explaining there was no appetite to look elsewhere.

Bilic has a seemingly comfortable set of fixtures in front of him and is certainly safe into the foreseeable future unless serious calamities were to engulf the team.

And with Manu Lanzini on his way back the team could start to fire in a big way lifting the pressure for some time to come.

Our source said: “There is absolutely no truth whatsoever in the Tuchel story – there’s no panic inside the club at all.”

  1. Tuchel turned down 10+ clubs don’t see him coming anyway but he would change up our training and think do a good job.
I will say I think they should have a conteigency plan or a list bc its not anything new & don’t see the board given Slaven new contract. And I believe the players believe that too.
But having another plan or a list we should have its being prepared. 4 pts 6 games in 5 wins in what 25 now. Have created more errors leading to opposition goals then any other team in PL since August 2015.
I don’t want to see u go back into Championship imagine the Board doesn’t either w £100m on the line so can have a Grant again. And at 18th when every game is tough we should be planning for future just in case.

  2. Well if you’re right, this Tuchel chap has a very high opinion of himself. If he truly isn’t interested, then f**k him and move on, and stop giving him any more air time. next …………….

    • I think you are right about him and his opinion of himself, he seems to forget he is a new manager but has turned down bigger names than us already, he may get lucky by hanging on or he might have his ego deflated and have to reassess his options.

  3. He reminds me of heir flick from Ello ello.

  4. Mirror sport did not “reveal” they guessed.

  5. Talking of fixtures – have you seen our fixtures in November and December? They look very tough
