Hammers double on the cards tomorrow

The Hammers past and present will be looking for a big double when they take to the London Stadium and Huntingdon Race track tomorrow (Sat).

As the current Irons team look to see off the North London lot, memories of one of our greatest strike forces will be sparked among Hammers supporting race goers and betting shop punters round about 3.25.

For it’s then that four year old bay gelding CotteMcAvennieGoal will attempt  – on her first run – attempt to beat a field of eight in the Gravitas Magazine Maiden Open NH Flat Race over 1m 5f 148y.

Owned by Hammers-mad Simon Keane and trained by Kim Bailey, who has a good record this season with horses in this type of event, Macca and TC are bound to have had a couple of bob  on their namesake horse.

Simon explained possibly a little tongue in cheek: “I am pretty confident of the Hammers putting it across Spurs and hopeful that CotteeMcAvenniegoal can do the business.”

He will certainly be carrying a fiver of my dough given the Supermac and TC connection but he looks likely to have to beat Favoir and Presence of Mind who have already had track experience  having a win each and Presence of Mind finishing second last time.
