There was a time when every top-flight team dreamt about a billionaire owner but now they are the norm and not being a billionaire is the exception.
Only Norwich, Burnley, Brentford, Leeds United and Watford are Premier League clubs not owned by billionaires but multi-millionaires instead and many Championship clubs are also owned by billionaires also.

*Should Newcastle United be taken over by the Public Investment Fund is the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia this week. It will leapfrog everyone with the fund worth an estimated eye-watering £377 billion!
IIRC at the time of the Sullivan/Gold takeover in 2010, their combined worth was under £500mil. Seems to me, some (Wealthy) people have done well under 10 years of ‘austerity’ eh?
really? Thought we were £150m in debt
Austerity was for us ordinary people not for friends of successive Tory governments!
agree but keep away from politics okease
It’s a subject that really shouldn’t affect West Ham fans. We didn’t go and support Man City when they hit the jackpot, nor will we adopt Geordie accents overnight! We’re Irons through and through regardless of how wealthy our owners are. We can’t change what is right now – no protest will make Gold and Sullivan sell up before they’re ready to, despite the fact that they know how most of us feel. It’s our job to get behind the team to help them in the cups and finish inside what will soon be a Top Seven. COYI……..
“Despite the fact that they know how most of us feel”? You don’t speak for “us”, the silent majority. If most fans feel the way you think, why was the protest last week so poorly attended?
