Ryan Fredericks has joined Arthur Masuaku as a target for promoted Fulham.
The former Cottagers right back is out of contract at the Hammers this season and with Vladi Coufal, Ben Johnson and the fine prospect Harrison Ashby all lined up to challenge for the right back spot. Fredericks is a natural target for his former club.
He has had an injury ravaged season at the London Stadium and has made a mere seven appearances at Premier League level.
At 29 years of age he is looking for regular football and as a former fans favourite ay Craven Cottage would receive a big welcome back.
Masuaku, meanwhile, is believed to still be interesting his former Olympiakos boss Marco Silva who could take him in to the Cottage probably for a fee of no more than about £5 million.
Masuku too has had a troubled Hammers season making just 13 Premier League appearances in a season interrupted by surgery.
As expected Hughie we knew that Fredericks and hopefully Masuaku would go. I’m just getting twitchy that many other clubs eg Villa are hitting the ground running again where we seem to be stuttering again and only sure of departures. They should have sorted Areola by now, we should not be talking about Fulham beating us to Worrall and signing Fredericks while we dither about. Surely Moyes and Newman must know who they want and should be flat out – we can’t be stagnant again this summer, can we.
totally agree
