Hammers earn millions before kicking a ball

West Ham have earned over £3m from UEFA without kicking a ball.  The prize money is paid to all teams reaching the group stage of the Europa League.

A group game win is worth £550,000 while draw will earn you over £183,000 with a 40,000-crowd expected to net the Hammers a further £1.6m on Thursday night.

An expected home win would bright the total European money to over £5m over just one game

The Hammers earned around £38m the last time they played in the Europa League after being knocked out in the semi-final by Frankfurt.
West Ham earned £20m in Europa Conference League Prize money for winning the trophy plus another £10m in ticket revenue bringing the total to around £30m.
