Hammers eye a Ginger Pele deal

collinsWest Ham are likely to offer James Collins a new one year deal in the summer.

The Ginger Pele’s contract runs out at the end of the season and the 34 year old is still seen as a player who has something to offer.

The board could offer the Hammers loyalist an initial six month deal just ahead of his 35th birthday in August followed by the same again in January should he be performing well.

Assuming David Moyes remains in charge at the club he will be looking for two top class central defenders which would allow him to play his favoured four at the back formation but the Welshman is still seen as a player with a part to play

Meanwhile the Irons are keen to reward teenager Declan Rice with a new double your money deal which has seen him perform admirably in a variety of positions

They are ready to offer him a four year deal which would take him into the year 2023 with the club.

  1. If they sign Declan Rice up on a new contract give him a £100m release clause in 5 years that won’t even seem like much money.

  2. Good Collins deserves new contract but I also heard were going to ask him to take pay cut he makes £35k & we need him. Loves this club wants to retire here & is leader & role model fke the kids just go ahead & give him a year deal he deserves at least that. Hart doesn’t care about club making a killing playing less then Ginge.
