Hammers eye new striker target

West Ham are this morning being reported as holding an interest in Turkish striker Cenk Tosun – along with Spurs.

The 25-year-old was seen last Friday scoring twice in the international team’sย 2-0 win over Finland and whilst Spurs have watched him regularly throughout the season, the Hammers are understood to be on the case.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic knows the player ย having worked with him whilst serving as manager of Besiktas where Tosun currently plays.

The striker is set to cost in the region of ยฃ17 million and will not require a work permit to play in England as he has EU citizenship.

It is likely that Tosun will leave Turkey. He will be looking to challenge himself by playing for a team in a more competitive League.
