Hammers eye Palace man to replace Antonio
Reports suggest that West Ham are closely monitoring Crystal Palace striker Odssone Edouard, according to numerous media outlets.
The Frenchman has already scored five goals this season and is currently under contract for another two years. The 25-year-old, who rose through the youth ranks of AF Bobigny, initially joined Paris Saint-Germain in July 2011 and was subsequently loaned to Ligue 1 side Toulouse for the 2016–17 season. Following that, he secured a loan move to Celtic for the next season, where he achieved a domestic treble and later made a permanent transfer, setting a club record fee.
Although West Ham had strong links with the player before his move to Palace, a transfer to West Ham at this stage appears highly improbable, especially with Tim Steidten overseeing all recruitment matters for the Hammers.
Claret and Hugh were informed by a high level club source that West Ham will only be looking to loan a striker during the January window.
