Hammers eye top ten at Sunderland

A win at Sunderland tomorrow could see the Hammers grab 10th place if other results go in their favour.

With Stoke, Leicester City and Burnley on 36 points with us, and Watford on 37, victory at the Stadium of Light could have a great spin off effect for the Irons.

Watford look to have the most straightforward chance of victory when they entertain Swansea at Vicarage Road but there are no givens at this stage of the season.

Burnley, with an awful away record, travel to Everton and Palace with that big win against Arsenal under their belts take on Leicester City at Selhurst Park while Hull visit Stoke.

We see Burnley and Leicester dropping points and Stoke picking up one which would be enough to push us into ninth place given we can’t see anything but an Irons victory in the north east.

Ah, if only forecasting results was that simple.

  1. I just hope that you are right in your feelings about us beating Sunderland. Surely, you are being a little conceited in your certainty of a win. If it doesn’t happen, what will be your reaction to your own forecast ?

  2. In all honesty does anyone think we are a top ten side? I certainly don’t.

  3. I’m never wrong mysel. And I’m with Roman, we sure as heck ain’t a top 10 side tho I’d take it Saturday evening if we can get it.

  4. No of course you aren’t John – you really should go and form a website. I’m sure you’d have thousands upon thousands of followers in a week! 🙂
