Hammers eyeing another Championship star

West Ham are considering a move for Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson, according to a new report from Ex WHU Employee, via Football League World.

The young midfielder is making waves in the Championship, with the club in fine form under manager Steve Cooper.

Forest have only lost one of their last five league games and have also beaten both Arsenal and Leicester in the FA Cup.

Johnson has scored nine league goals this season and has also laid on five assists; he also scored against the Foxes in the impressive 4-1 win.

The 20-year-old can play in a variety of positions and has been deployed on the right and left wings, in attacking midfield, and up front.

FLW reports that Brentford made a bid to sign Johnson in January but were snubbed by Forest, who are desperate to retain one of their key young players.

Johnson has a contract that expires at the end of next season, though, so there may well be an opportunity to secure his signature this summer.

  1. Lets wait 10 years for GSB to gather the funds together & then put in an absolute ridiculous bid that will never be accepted, also this would give Dithering Dave 20 transfer windows to do his due dilligence on the player to then say he is no better than what we have, we need better players than what we allready have !!!!!!!!

  2. Why? He is a midfielder which is the least priority for us to strengthen, and he is under 21 so DM won’t play him.
