According to Corriere dello Sport, the Hammers are eyeing Senegalese striker Boulaye Dia from Salernitana.

Dia’s profile aligns with Moyes‘ preferred attacking style. He possesses the physical prowess to hold the ball up and bring others into play, while also boasting the agility and pace to stretch defences and create scoring opportunities. His versatility, as evidenced by his ability to play on the wing, further enhances his value to the squad.
The addition of Dia to West Ham’s frontline would see the club with a natural No. 9. Michail Antonio, while a reliable goalscorer, lacks the aerial prowess and directness that Dia brings. Dia’s presence would enable Moyes to deploy a two-striker formation or a more fluid attacking approach.
Moreover, Dia’s aerial threat would be a significant asset in the Europa League, where West Ham will face tougher opposition. His ability to convert crosses and set pieces could prove crucial in securing crucial victories in the competition.
With Dia on board, West Ham’s aspirations for a top-four finish and further European success would no  longer be just just pipe dreams. The Senegalese striker’s arrival would inject  a fresh wave of optimism and excitement into the Hammers’ ranks, hopefully signalling a new era of attacking prowess and renewed ambition.
