Hammers Face Battle to Keep Star Man

West Ham United are bracing themselves for a potential tug-of-war over their star forward Mohammed Kudus, according to TEAMtalk. The Ghanaian winger has attracted interest from two wealthy Saudi Pro League clubs, Al Nassr and Al-Ittihad, who are dangling a contract worth a staggering £212,000 per week in front of him.

Backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, both Al Nassr and Al-Ittihad are offering a salary package that would be difficult for most players to refuse. West Ham, who signed Kudus for £38 million just last year, will be determined to keep their prized possession.

Recent comments from Kudus himself, where he expressed his focus on pre-season training, offer West Ham fans a glimmer of hope. However, the financial muscle of the Saudi clubs cannot be ignored.

While West Ham might not be able to compete with the astronomical wages on offer, but they will still demand a significant transfer fee if they are forced to sell Kudus.

Kudus has quickly become a vital cog in the West Ham machine. His eight Premier League goals and five Europa League goals last season are a testament to his talent, and these performances have understandably driven his market value up.

Despite the tempting offers, West Ham are in a strong negotiating position. Kudus’ hefty £85 million release clause recently expired, giving West Ham complete control over any potential transfer fees. This strengthens their hand significantly.

Sadly, it seems to be a sign of the times when silly money is being offered to entice players to the Saudi League. I totally understand the rationale of a player  coming to the end of his career but not of a young twenty something.

Hopefully, Kudus will not have his head turned by all of this and will continue to wear the claret and blue.

This rumour is for Mugs, if anyone thinks he is actually leaving this summer you need your head testing, “at risk of losing coz offered 200k a week”
Hang on we haven’t even received a bid and unless it’s 120mil upwards then it won’t be entertained and if it is that then let him go if he wants to ruin his career coz he will be stuck out there in a years time regret what he did and no one will be able to afford to bring him back, Henderson sprint ro mind?

Another BS click bait story from a BS site. They have no contacts whatsoever inside the club but spout these panic stories with ridiculous headlines for clicks. The same with Paqueta, all this BS about a Brazilian entourage coming to get him, they made 1 offer for a loan which was rejected. End of story.

When I saw the headline of this story it made me worry. But then I saw the author is no other than Simon Leyland and I immediately felt relieved, knowing that it would be complete bullsh*t! Sorry, Simon, you just don’t have much credibility.

I’d be more concerned if it were big clubs here or in La Liga. City, Madrid or Barcelona. Saudi? No. He ain’t going there.

  • Dave says:

His release clause has expired for this season so they can wait & pay £85m next summer or they can pay £150-200m if they want him this summer.
We are under no pressure to sell & if any player chooses to go to Saudi as they are struggling to live on the £90k/wk they are getting in the Prem then good luck to them in their retirement.

  • Jh says:

Christ…yet another ridiculous article, even saying “a glimmer of hope ” its just utter BS trying to create panic among the most gullible. Honestly Simon you either need to stop writing rubbish on here or just report facts

    • Auslander says:

I think your stop writing comment is the best course of action, considering this is just a clickbait site reporting nothing of value to the supporteres!

  • Kip says:
