Hammers face Maguire hold-up

|

Manchester United v Aston Villa - Premier League

West Ham may be kept waiting longer than a few days in their bid to sign Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire.

The Hammers have agreed a £30 million fee for the former Old Trafford skipper but although they had hoped the deal would go through early next week that now looks unlikely.

United still have to find a replacement for the 30 year old which will hold the deal up although manager Erik ten Hag is reported to have a couple of options lined up which he hopes to bring in quickly.

It appears to be the only issue remaining before the England central defender makes his expected move to the London Stadium with reports that he will receive a £6 million pay off.

That is on account of the Hammers being unable to pay his £190,000 a week wages, instead being ready to help with the huge pay off the player will get.
