Hammers facing major fight for defender

West Ham face a major fight to land Jakub Kiwior from Spezia.

A new report from Fichajes has claimed that the defender is wanted by Atletico Madrid and Juventus, along with the Hammers, while there has also reportedly been interest from Spurs.

Kiwior was a target in the summer, and the Hammers are said to have asked about his availability.

However, Spezia were only willing to let him go if he returned to Italy on loan, something the Irons weren’t willing to countenance.

The 22-year-old has impressed in his short time at Spezia, having joined the club in 2021, and he is also a part of the Poland squad at the World Cup, playing 90 minutes as they kept a clean sheet in their 0-0 draw with Mexico.

He has a contract with Spezia until 2025 so there is likely to be some sort of bidding war erupting this summer if all of the clubs follow up their interest.
