Hammers Facing Massive Steidten Payout

West Ham are refusing to disclose details regarding the financial compensation owed to former technical director Tim Steidten and his brother Moritz, who was also employed by the club in a recruitment role.

The Steidtens were reportedly on a package worth up to £1 million per year. Staff on fixed contracts are often retained on the payroll after departure in the hope they secure another role in football, which would reduce the club’s compensation payments.

This arrangement would cost the Hammers around £83,000 per month until the pair find employment at the same salary or higher. If they secure a job at a lower wage, West Ham would cover the difference.

A similar agreement was reached when Graham Potter was sacked by Chelsea.

The club also continues to pay former head coach Julen Lopetegui’s monthly salary until he finds new employment. Reports last week suggested the Spaniard was approached to manage the Belgian national team and subsequently contacted West Ham seeking an early settlement of his contract, which runs until May 2026

Looked at LOSEpetegui’s record before he became the new Westham coach and realized that he was totally incompetent . It took me 10 minutes to find that out . I don’t understand why there’s no due diligence employed for the payment of such large sums of money for coaches , staff and players . I can and do in 10 minutes flat , it;s easy go to transfermarkt for performance and injuries . A quick search finds out the preferred tactics of a coach and tactics preferred by a player . Seems like a lot of fools in football .

The Steidtens won’t be out of work for long, they’re also likely to be paid well so this probably won’t cost a lot. Lets hope they don’t fancy an extended holiday, I probably would.
