West Ham will need the most raucous support of the season this afternoon.
Those of us inside the stadium really do need to act – in the words of that dreadful cliche – as the twelfth man.
Hammers fans have a huge job to do today
Whatever and however we may feel about the various issues surrounding the club right now, our total support is vital as we go into one of the toughest games of the season.
There has been plenty of criticism of the manager and others of how they do their jobs inside the club but our job is to make the place a cauldron which is too hot for Arsenal today.
Yes, we over here have had more than our say about him and others but let me make it absolutely clear there is nothing on earth that would make me happier than to eat my words slowly one by one.
I have read on certain areas of social media people saying they hope we continue to get beaten in order to force the board’s hand against Moyes.
As a supporter of 60 years I find that totally unacceptable particularly at a club which has always shown great loyalty and had fewer managers than any other.
Whether I believe Moyes capable of turning things round is another question but it is our job inside the ground to do our job today – support like never before!
So let’s really give things a go – as of course we always do – when those claret and blue shirts appear out of the tunnel.
