We go into the match on the back of that horrible 5-0 crushing by Fulham against a Freiburg team which travelled to Wolfsburg to record a 1-o win and extend their winning run to three and unbeaten games to four.

Moyes using the squad’s fringe players whom he has suggested haven’t been ready to show themselves to their best advantage so far And we wait to see if Edson Alvarez will have recovered from the sickness he has been suffering from since he returned from the international break.

There’s no indication either that Alphonse Areola will be back but despite five goals against Fulham, all of which were unstoppable, Lukasz Fabianski has been in decent form since taking over.

The likely team would appear to be: Fab, Coufal, Mavropanos, Aguerd, Emerson; Alvares (hopefully) Soucek, JWP, Paqueta, Kudus, Bowen.
