Hammer’s future very much on thin ice

By Hughie Southon

Said Benrahma’s West Ham future appears to be on thin ice as David Moues looks to entirely reshape the Hammers squad.

We revealed a couple of weeks back that the former Brentford winger could be on his way and now The Guardian is saying the same thing at West Ham open to Benrahma offers as they prepare to step up Lingard pursuit | West Ham United | The Guardian.

Already it seems Nikola Vlasic could be on his way out of the club and that Tomas Spocek may well be available after failing to receive a new deal from the manager.

And those who didn’t believe that Benrahma was the type of player Moyes would stick with now may be proved right as the speculation grows around his future.

Whilst The Guardian claims the manager will possibly choose to increase his budget by offloading the Algeria international he will get nowhere near the £25 million we paid for him.

Villa were interested  whilst he was at Brentford the player’s performances are unlikely to see him sold for much more than £12million to £15 million and that could be pushing it!

  1. Hugh, I must disagree with all of this outrageousness. Benny is going nowhere. He can hold the ball up and will get better with time! As far as your Arnie article earlier…. Why even post that garbage?!?

I’ve been following this blog for years and I love ya to death but I’m losing faith in the quality of journalism here. All the adds as well?!? This site is turning into a nightmare. If you’ve got nothing to post don’t do it at all.

Sorry, heavy criticism but I had to do it. I
    Still love ya

    Vince, asshole from the states

    • Except that this was a report from the Guardian and we are here to report what others say as well as our own. Your feelings are your feelings Vince. Ads such as ours are accomodated because punters don’t want to pay for anything. We have offered the opportunity to support us with a view to reducing the number but a very limited response whilst top advertisers seem to love us

  2. West Ham have spent a lot of time using Benrahma in ad campaigns to sell the new season and using him to promote things, including picking him as one of the four players they are using to promote the new seasons kit with pictures of him in the new kit. Wouldn’t be the first time a player has featured heavily in preseason advertising only to be got rid of I suppose but I’m not so sure we’ll be getting rid of him if only for the fact that after a disappointing season getting to grips with premier the league he did actually seem to be improving towards the end of the season. Next year could be the year he takes off so to speak. I remember players like Salah and Debrugne not being that great when they first played in the premier league but years later they tear it up.
