Hammers game moved

West Ham have successfully lodged an application to have the Premier League clash with Manchester City moved in case the Hammers reach the Europa League final.

The Irons were set to play Pep Guardiola’s side at the London Stadium on Sunday May 15, three days before the Europa League final on Wednesday May 18.

The Athletic now reports, though, that the kick-off time for the game has been moved, from 16:30 to 14:00, to assist with preparation for the potential final encounter later that week.

It remains to be seen if the Irons will qualify for the final, as they will have to overturn a 2-1 aggregate deficit against Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany on Thursday.

Beating Frankfurt would set up a final clash with either Rangers or RB Leipzig, who are contesting the other semi-final.

That German side have the lead in that tie, having won the first leg 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Angelino.
