Hammers get domestic Cup bonus

By Sean Whetstone

West Ham will avoid the early rounds of the Carabao Cup due to their involvement in Europe competition.

The Hammers will avoid the second round of the domestic cup with a bye and will instead join in the third round which is being played on November 8-9 next season, two months later than usual.

Seven Premier League cups involved in Europe will play the 25 winners of round two which will include some of the 13 Premier League clubs who did not qualify for Europe.

The Irons reached the quarter finals last season after dispatching Premier League champions Manchester City at the London Stadium in a penalty shoot out.

West Ham will enter the FA Cup with other Premier League clubs on 7th January next year in the third round proper after the world cup break.

They will enter the Europa Conference League on 18th and 25th August in a two legged play off round with the draw on 1st August.
