Hammers get helping hand

Brighton and Hove Albion did the Hammers a big favour at Molineux this afternoon when inflicting a convincing 3-0 victory over Wolves who had just one shot on target throughout the 90 minutes.

It meant the midlands outfit  remain three points behind the Irons and now on level games until tomorrow leaving us in seventh place and currently a place in Europe albeit via the Conference at this stage.

We will of course be aiming to go better by beating Eintracht Frankfurt  and into the Champions League via a win in the Final of the Europa League

For now, however, we have the chance of going six points clear of Wolves tomorrow (Sun) with a win over Arsenal which in turn would see us take sixth place off Man United on goal difference.

Wolves are in a desperately poor run of form having now lost their last three games to Newcastle, Burnley and now Brighton who are our opponents on the last game of the season.
