Hammers get the FA Cup’s lowest ranked club

The Hammers are facing the ultimate FA Cup banana skin having been draw against Kidderminster Harriers away for in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The National League North side – who beat Reading in the third round yesterday (Sat) are currently sitting in fifth place with 31 points from the current programme.

It’s a game which is bound to be on TV at a date to be decided early in February with the broadcasters looking for one of those traditional shock results in Worcestershire.

We have to fancy ourselves although Cambridge United’s shock win at Newcastle yesterday (Sat),  plus Kidderminster’s itself, shows nothing can be taken for granted in the early stages of this competition.

Declan Rice had said “give us anyone” after the victory over Leeds at the London Stadium today (Sunday) and neither he, the players, fans and club officers will be unhappy with the draw although we would have preferred a home game of course.
