Late swoop for Irving
According to the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung, West Ham United are close to completing the signing of Andy Irving from Austrian side SK Austria Klagenfurt.
The report says we have already tabled their offer, which is expected to be accepted ahead of the 11pm deadline today.
However, according to club sources there is no more than a 10 per cent chance of us bringing anymore players today anyway.
Were we to go ahead with this deal it would have seen Irving returned to the Austrian club for the remainder of the season on loan anyway.
There has been much talk of potential headline grabbing final-day moves for Youssef En-Nesyri, Yuri Alberto or Hugo Ekitike.
But from what we have been told by our key source none of the are unlikely to happen with him saying: It’s a very small chance. Ninety per cent there will be nothing.
The Club knew this early on. Another site reported this deal was already done this morning. So why did the Club let the other lies fly about the place and why was our Technical Director ruining the environment flying around bits of the World for nothing ?
As I said in an earlier post a joke of a window if we didn’t sell rice. We had no money to spend .six transfer windows without buying a proper Centre forward and extra money in the chairman’s pocket at the end of it. I hope I’m wrong but I think we will struggle again this season.
Don’t be surprised if we sign origi on a free this evening
