Hammers given a price for Tractor Boy

|

West Ham will have to pay somewhere in the region of £300,000 to complete the signing of Ipswich Town defender Elkan Baggott.

The Hammers could move for for the Indonesia Under 19 international centre back, after he rejected the offer of a new contract with Ipswich.

Now it seems as though the top-flight duo have discovered just how much it will cost them to sign Baggott, if they are to do so during the current transfer window.

According to  Football Insider  teh Hammers have been told they would have to pay Ipswich between £150,000 and £300,000 in compensation for the signing of Baggott this month.

Baggott was born in Bangkok, Thailand to an Indonesian mother and English father and chose to represent Indonesia internationally. He grew up in Jakarta before moving to England in 2011.

He joined Ipswich Town on a two-year scholarship in 2019 and made his senior debut for the club on 6 October 2020 in a 2–0 victory over Gillingham in the EFL Trophy.
He was called up for Indonesia at under-19 level and won his first cap for the under-19 team on 11 October 2020 in a friendly against North Macedonia U19.

I like this type signings tho just did Alves. Be smart to do some young English talent signings even if have to loan back to get experience… Get them while there under £2m before they do very well in Championship…
