West Ham have pencilled in an Andy Carroll return to match action for December 11 at Anfield.
An injury which the striker publicly declared was a four to six weeks job after it was sustained against Asra Giurgiu in August may finally be put behind him nearly four months later.
However, even the date with Liverpool is not 100 per cent definite with sources claiming both AC and the medical staff are “absolutely and cmpletely certain” there is no chance of another breakdown.
However, we were told: “December 11 against Liverpool at Anfield looks a very real possibility. Andy hiimself has to be certain and confident in his mind that he is okay and after all the injury problems he may have some reservations.”
Carroll has been training with the under 21 squad but is expected to step up his programme over the next few days and there is an outside chance of him being ready for Arsenal on December 3 but the Liverpool trip is the more likely.
On his day he can be unplayable… shame there haven’t been too many of those days. We seem to cusrsed with our choice of strikers either being fragile physically, mentally or both. I wish him well, but I won’t be holding my breath.
Shame really, I like Carroll he’s a decent player when he’s fit and gives us something different up front and puts the frighteners up defenders who seem to go to pieces when he’s around. But anyway I reckon the club will string out his return give him a couple of games before the transfer window just to show the chinese he’s not broken at the moment. Can’t see the Dave’s turning down decent dosh to keep him and to be honest can’t say I blame em.
And here we go again ! The mighty China doll who can’t stay fit for more than a week is to return in December? No doubt he’ll be injured again by end of December just in time for the transfer window so we can’t palm him off but lets get excited eh 🙂
Sorry but it’s just like the Monty Python sketch where the knight still thought he could fight with no arms or legs.
I swear we was told last week he’s back in 2 weeks, boring now I wouldn’t even bother playing him so there no chance of him getting injured then ship him out in January.
