Lucas Paquetá

Hammers have eased a Paqueta departure

|

Like most others the prospect of Lucas Paqueta leaving West Ham once filled  me with horror.

Watching him shake hands with Pep Guardiola yesterday and later share an embrace was hard because we all know if or when he gets the chance he will be on his way.

However, things are better on that front than they were a couple of weeks ago when the idea of losing him was at it’s height before Mo Kudus appeared at the club,

During the conversation he had with Tim Steidten he had asked whether he would get into a team in which Paqueta was present and was told yes.

I have very high hopes for this young man and that he feels he is a similar player to the Brazilian will do for me.

Hopefully, we will see the young man in full flow on Thursday evening in the opening Europa Cup clash.
