Hammers have high hopes

By Sean Whetstone

West Ham are still expecting a late rush on season ticket renewals as the deadline approaches in seven days time Claret and Hugh understands.

The club is forecasting a 97 percent to 98 percent renewal rate of general season ticket holders despite the cost of living crisis according to a key club insider.

Year on year, West Ham supporters show their loyalty by renewing in percentage rates above average for the rest of the Premier League.

The rate dropped down to 88 percent in the run up to the 2020/2021 season mostly due to COVID but most other seasons it has been in excess of 90 percent since the move to the London Stadium in 2016.

The ambitious target of 97% to 98% would mean only around 972 to 1,458 West Ham supporters giving up their seats from 45,000 season ticket holders + 3,600 Club London Corporate members

However with an 2,500 extra capacity, there might be 3,500/4ooo new season ticket holders next season to the season ticket priority list.
