West Ham United are gearing up for the new season with their players and staff set to depart this weekend for a pre-season training camp in Austria, according to insider ExWHUEmployee.

The initial phase of pre-season will involve a fitness camp in Austria, with the primary focus being on building a strong physical foundation for the upcoming campaign.

While the main emphasis is on fitness, the possibility of playing a few friendly matches against local Austrian sides hasn’t been ruled out.

Also with the imminent arrival of Max Kilman from Wolverhampton Wanderers, West Ham will now turn their attention to securing a new striker and potentially reinforcing other areas of the squad.

ExWHUEmployee expects movement in the striker position soon, as the club aims to identify and finalise their top target upfront.

This pre-season trip to Austria marks the beginning of West Ham’s preparations for the new season. With a focus on fitness and potential signings in the pipeline, the Hammers are looking to hit the ground running when the campaign gets underway. New hammers head coach Julen Lopetgui is keen to his establish his new regime on the players as quickly as possible with the club source remarking to Claret & Hugh that the new head coach was meticulous in his preparation.
