Hammers hear nothing on midfielder exit

Exclusive By Dave Langton

West Ham have heard nothing about a proposed return to Russia for Alex Kral.

There were suggestions in January that Kral could be recalled after failing to break into David Moyes’ starting XI and making just one league appearance.

Kral is currently on loan at the club from Spartak Moscow, with whom he made 60 appearances before his move to the Hammers.

But a top Hammers insider has told us that there has been no contact whatsoever from the Russian club regarding him returning.

It remains to be seen if Spartak will make an attempt to bring him back but it is likely that would be met with resistance, given the thinness of the squad after the January transfer window.

Kral could get a run out this weekend, though, when the Hammers play minnows Kidderminster in the FA Cup ahead of the return of Premier League action, when Moyes’ men play Watford on Tuesday next week.
