Hammers hero tells Bilic what’s needed

hartsonFormer Hammers hero John Hartson is ‘backing Bilic.’

As the heat rises on the new manager, who admits he’s under pressure, the Irons former striker is convinced Slav will come through his Premier League baptism of fire.

Bilic is being battered on all sides by striker injuries and the calls for replacements, Hartson believes it’s defenders his former team mate needs as he bids to steady the rocking Irons ship.

Speaking to Kicca the Welshman said: “”Slaven – a player I’ve played with – will get it right. I believe he needs some time to get his team to gel.

“He has [Julian] Dicks, another ex team mate of mine, and both will be working daily to make the team more solid in defence.

I’m sure Slaven will want a few more additions with just eight days before the transfer window shuts,” he added.
