Hammers hint at Lingard stay

Hammer Michail Antonio has dropped a heavy hint that he expects his team mate Jesse Lingard to be around next season for West Ham’s European tour.

He posted a photo on Twitter containing Declan Rice, Pablo Fornals, Tomas Soucek, Angelo Ogbonna, Jesse Lingard and himself at various destinations.

Loanee Lingard racked up nine goals and four assists in 16 Premier League games for the Hammers.

West Ham agreed to pay a £1.5m loan fee with £2.5m in wages and an additional £500,000 bonus for qualifying for Europe to Manchester United.

The 28-year-old is said to be happy at West Ham and would like to stay a Hammer.

The deal may rely on the Manchester club not being too greedy and being realistic in setting a transfer price.  A transfer at £20m ore less could see an early conclusion.

Jesse Lingard responded to Mikey’s Twitter post with a pair of eyes and a heart icon.

Read into that what you will.
