Hammers hit by Kane brace in four minutes

Half time Irons 0 Spurs 2:

Harry Kane grabbed two goals inside four minutes to see the Hammers troop off at half time to near silence. A loose Andy Carroll pass set Alli away to cross for the striker who headed past the helpless Hart. Then he was in the right place at the right time to slap home a second from a rebound off the Hammers keeper.

Until then the Hammers had more than held their own with Arnautovic looking great on the ball and only being stopped by a late Aurier intervention as he closed in on goal before Hernandez saw a ball fly over.

Antonio had gone off just before the half hour holding a hamstring and Carroll – who we believe took a knock in training – came on and it went downhill from there seeming suggesting the knock he took may have taken its toll.

The stats tell their own story with the Hammers having just one chance and the Spuds nine.
