Hammers hopeful Lingard subbed in average display

|

Jesse Lingard’s hopes of a Hammers contract don’t look topo good tonight after a less than impressive display agaioinst Ipswich Town in a behind-closed doors game

The match finished 1-1, with Aaron Cresswell scoring from a free kick. Danny Ings had a goal ruled out after being set up by Conor Coventry.

But according to ExWHUEmployee  whilst a short term offer is still in the balance and it seems his performance tonight was lacklustre,

Ex said on The West Ham Way Patreon.“Jesse Lingard played for approximately 75 minutes and was good in flashes but apparently faded towards the end with his fitness still needing work.

He added that a final decision is still to be made on his future and it is not known whether this game will have any baring and that his source at the game said he was good in parts but didn’t have a huge impact and did get subbed off.

He added: “The feeling is still he will be given a short term contract at the club but this won’t be issued until he is fully fit but this is still waiting confirmation and isn’t a done deal.”
