Moyes has big decision to make today
Today may well become the D Day on a Jesse Lingard’s West Ham future!
The former Manchester United and England midfielder is tonight set to be involved in a key behind closed doors game against Ipswich Town.
From all accounts the player has been impressing recently in training at Rush Green and the match has been arranged to keep the squad fit during the break but with particular significance for him.
It is unlikely that such a game would have been arranged had the Hammers boss not been close to giving him a thumbs up signal but much will depend on Lingard’s future.
As one of the manager’s favourite players it now looks as though Lingard will come in from the out in the cold club-less situation he has had since leaving his last club, Nottingham Forest.
A decision is surely set to be made within days.
What about our current players’ development? Fornals, Cornet, Benrahma, Coventry have all signed for us and want to be integrated fully, so why spend time and a team spot for Lingard to ‘try out’? Move forward West Ham with our Sporting Director. Moyes needs to get over Lingard
