Hammers hopes look dead

|

Frank Lampard and Chelsea are growing increasingly confident that they have convinced Olivier Giroud to remain at the club.

The Hammers have hoped for several months they could tempt him away in various windows but the talks have now stalled and the scenario now looks dead.

Lampard believes that Giroud can has added belief of  his importance to Chelseaafter starting a number of Premier League games in the light of fnew signing o Werner.

Earlier in December, Giroud fired all four goals as Chelsea ran out 4-0 winners against Sevilla but the Frenchman later underlined his desire for more regular game time.

Hammers representatives have been sounding out both Chelsea and the players’ agents but it appears talks have stalled with the West Ham adamant that their player is not for sale.

David Sullivan is said to be a big fan of the Chelsea striker and the forward is thought to be one of many on David Moyes list.

Another player that if we signed him would not suit our style of play. I would say this is all paper talk yet again.

Hopefully our hope of getting him…IF true, are dead in the water.
I don’t see bringing a player of that age to our club as a progressive thing to do, whatever the short term advantages.

    Well theres a plus !

Have we actually bid for anyone..I mean I know things can take time but how long can you talk about players. Surely he has identified his preferred choice so how long does it take to actually put a serious bid in
Haller and diagana and snodgrass as a matter of fact, went with in a day or 2 ….our incoming take weeks if not months..does this mirror our negotiation skills .. looks very soft like we accept first offers but other chairmen take us to the cleaners

    • Bowen signing with 10 mions to go, Soucek making it clear he’d go back if we went down and Couval a last minute signing is how it works. It’s not all about Sullivan and the boARD. Agents try to drew the last penny too by leaving as late as poss. Same everuy window with many clubs I reckon

Werner has proved to be a big let down and now Lampard is panicking. Giroud has never let anyone down but had Werner been a success Lampard would have got rid of geroud like a shot. Lampard will still get the sack in my opinion if he can’t get his 200 million signings performing for him. Geroud should say up yours lampard and move to a club where he would be appreciated.
