Hammers hopes on Mitrovic to be dashed

West Ham striker transfer target Aleksandar Mitrovic could be on the verge of a move to Spain. Reports in the last forty-eight hours suggest that La Liga club Real Betis that are now favourites to sign him.

Fulham’s £24million signing impressed last season with his form at Craven Cottage, but was unable to keep his side from suffering relegation to the Championship. Mitrovic scored 11 Premier League goals for the struggling London side. The Serbia international has an impressive record of 25 goals in his 48 senior caps.

Fulham had set an asking price of £30m for the Serbian striker so that they can raise vital funds to reshape their squad but as it stands, Betis are only willing to pay £22m for Mitrović . It is claimed that both clubs are relatively flexible and hopeful of getting a deal done, though Fulham are hopeful of receiving a larger fee as he has four years remaining on his contract.

  1. Good. Whilst I might be in a minority, I really don’t rate him. He gets in good positions and creates chances but needs about ten chances to score one goal. We want someone who will stick the ball in the net.

  2. Clive, you are not in the minority. Totally agree.
