Hammers hoping to change one Juve striker for another

|

Mario Mandzukic is a transfer target for West Ham when the transfer window opens claims a report in the Sun newspaper. The tabloid claims the Juventus striker was watched by Hammers scouts when he played for Croatia in the friendly with Northern Ireland during the international break. Slaven Bilic worked with the 30-year-old when he was national coach of his country and wants to be reunited with him says the red top.

Bilic is looking to bolster his attack in January and will allow Simone Zaza to return to Juventus after struggling to settle in the Premier League. Mandzukic has two-and-a-half years left on his Juve deal and could cost £18million to prise him away from the Serie A giants.

Haven’t we learnt our lesson with zaza?

No. No. Noooooo. Mandzukic is just another clumsy forward who slows down play, plays with his back to goal and doesn’t score goals. He has 3 goals this season and is struggling at a dominant team that creates a cornucopia of chances every match. In his career he averages about 12 goals a season and that’s been when playing with the world’s best players. He’s just getting worse. But he sounds like the kind of flop Bilic would be interested in.

I think we have been linked with Mario before.I really don’t know anymore.I do know it’s desperation stakes in January for teams facing relegation.
