West Ham are said to be in talks with the representatives of Alexandre Mlinde claim the French media.
The 17-year-old unknown striker currently plays for French team AS Minguettes, an amateur club in the suburbs of Lyon and it is claimed he has caught the eye of Hammers French scouts. Mlinde scored 21 goals in 22 games last season, while the season prior he found the back of the net 35 times.
French website Foot Mercato claims the Hammers led the race to sign the youngster for the Academy despite interest from top clubs in Europe including local club Lyon. At best the youngster could be given a chance to join the West Ham Academy or possibility given a trial in London for the chance to impress.
