Hammers in battle with Everton for ace

Everton and West Ham are both eyeing a deal to sign Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao, a new report has claimed.

The 26-year-old has been with the Italian club since 2019 and has made a total of 111 appearances for the club.

A traditional centre-back, Becao has a contract that expires in 2024, and Udinese are making an attempt to extend his deal.

However, the fact that his deal expires in two years has also put clubs on alert, including the Hammers and Everton, as per Tutto Udinese.

The club are said to be demanding around €20m at this point, which equates to £17.2m, but that price could drop if Becao signals his intention to leave Udinese.

Inter Milan and Juventus are both said to be monitoring the situation with interest, too, so it seems likely that there will soon be bids on the table for Becao.

Whether the Hammers move for him in January, though, remains to be seen.
