West Ham have every chance of catapulting themselves from eighth to third place if they manage a wee goal scoring spree – as boss David Moyes may put it – against Leicester City tomorrow night (Mon).
Even a one goal win would see them replace Spurs in fourth place and anything beyond that would see them take that third spot from Brighton.
It seems unlikely that they could join Liverpool or Chelsea at the top who have a five goal difference to our two at the moment.
However, a repeat of the 3-0 defeat of the Foxes at their place last season would see us sharing places with both of them.
This afternoon’s results saw Spurs hit six points with a win at Wolves whilst Saints held Manchester United to a draw leaving the Reds in fifth place on four points.
Arsenal, meanwhile, slumped to their second 2-0 defeat of the season – this time at home to Chelsea after being beaten on the opening day by Brentford.
That win lifted Chelsea to top spot with Liverpool who beat Burnley 2-0 on Saturday.
“bang up there buddy” you gone all cockney on us Hugh?
If we win that would be amazing enough, where we sit in the table is irrelevant for me at this early stage although it may help the view for incoming players, hoping for a good result COYI!!!
BRINGS CONFIDENCE TO BE BANG UP THERE THOUGH BUDDY
